I have worked as a journalist, researcher, TV producer and media relations consultant for more than 24 years, on a national, regional and local level.

My journalism career has included stints on leading evening newspapers as well as freelance work for magazines and newspapers across the UK. I now also write extensively for the web about family and parenting issues, and following the publication of my first book last year I have been asked to contribute to many publications and write features about single parenting.

I am also well known for my strong views on marriage and have appeared on national radio and television programmes discussing subjects such as couples who have affairs, and the effect that this behaviour can have on families.

With my media relations hat firmly on, I am proud to have a growing portfolio of independent businesses in the lifestyle sector who call on me to provide an outsourced PR and media relations function for them.

I do not work on a retained basis, preferring to offer a simple media relations product package instead that is designed to enhance existing marketing and functions within a business, as well as getting new businesses off to a flying start.
